Support!
Yes you can! You can do it!!
I hope anyone else that's doing this Detox is doing as great as me! Please feel free to comment and keep me up to date on how you are getting on. It's great to have support out there from people that are in the same boat as yourself. Whether your doing it to lose weight or simply because you want to cleanse your body. It is still a hard process to go through for a lot of people. But if you can talk to someone about it, it really makes it easier. So yes comment and share your stories with me. I will reply to everyone and I am interested in what and how you are all doing!!
Stay positive!! :)

Hi Jen...Good luck with your journey. Keep blogging your progress. I found that by Day 3 I was ok with it. I am still juicing twice a day and having one meal. I am weighing in once a week and taking my cues for meals from Plant Based websites like straightupfood.com ...I think committing to juicing only for 60 days is fantastic. Wishing you the BEST!
ReplyDeleteI know that I will be doing 3 day juice fasts from time to time just to keep things clean and light. :)

Hey Carol... Thanks for sharing and also for the best wishes. I am feeling so awesome about this. Its so surprising how adding fresh juice to your diet makes you feel so wonderful. I will definitely do it for the 60 days and I think I will do the same as you and do it from time to time :) Not just for health but they are super yummy!
DeleteAll the best to you. Feel free to check in once in a while :)

Hi Jen,
ReplyDeleteI am really impressed with all your discipline. I hope this cleanse sets you up for a healthy lifestyle from here on out. I know you can do it!!! I've never done a juice cleanse before, but my fiance and I just got a juicer as a wedding gift, so we're seriously considering it. My only concerns are 1) most of the fiber in fruits and veggies is found in the peels, so where will we get out fiber? and 2) I know I can give up solid food, but I don't know about coffee! I feel so weak, that I might not be able to give up coffee. But maybe it would be a good way to quit. I think we would only do it for 10 days because as of right now I am below normal weight, but I have high cholesterol and I'm sure my body's FULL of toxins. thanks for being an inspiration. You can do it Jen!!!!
Hey :) Thanks you so much. I feel so good about this and I am excited to become more healthy. I see your point about the fiber, maybe you could take a supplement? Im not sure but I would imagine if your concerned about it, it shouldn't be a problem. Its not like a fiber supplement will make you unhealthy or gain weight! lol. As for coffee I hear you! I myself am not a big coffee drinker but I was addicted to soda! So I know how hard it is to give up something. I guess I found it easy (ish) because I am so determined to lose this weight I have gained. Also I wanna run around with my son. He is 10 months and started walking last week so I need to be healthy for him. Maybe try weaning yourself off it so it becomes easier when you juice.... Cut down on how much you drink a day drinking less and less as the days go by. That way you wont suffer from headaches due to not having caffeine. I'm not sure if my advice would work but that's how I would do it. 10 days is great also! Any amount of time of juicing is great. I feel fantastic with all this great stuff going through me!
ReplyDeleteGood luck for if/when you start juicing! Also good luck with the wedding, I hope you have a wonderful day together and best wishes for your future together. Please let me know how you guys get on if you do this and let me know how that coffee thing goes... It will be hard but I know you can do it! There are so many places online you can get support, including here! So good luck and thanks for commenting!!

Can I drink coffee while on a juicing regime?
DeleteI am not entirely sure if it will have a negative affect on the regime. I do know that caffeine is a no no on it. Your are juicing to become healthy and to cleanse your body of toxins and build up of yucky stuff caused by unhealthy foods. I am in no way an expert on the subject but I know that caffeine is not good for your body. I remember reading somewhere on Joe Cross's website that you should not have caffeine but I am not sure about decaf coffee. I know you can drink caffeine free herbal teas while juicing. If its the taste of coffee you love why not try drinking the decaf one just to be safe.
DeleteGood luck on your juicing adventure, let us know how you get on!
